CA -- The San Jose State University Spartans will entertain
UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz in a standard double dual meet
set to begin at 1:00 p.m this Saturday, October 13th at The
Aquatics Center on campus. San Jose State will be scored in
separate dual meets against both the Aggies and the Banana
Slugs, while the two visitors will also square off against
each other in men’s competition.
The 16-event meet will begin with one-meter diving at 1:00
p.m., with the day’s first swimming event, the 200 medley
relay, slated to start at approximately 1:30 p.m. The
three-meter diving event will be held during the first of
two breaks, following the 50 freestyle. The full order of
events will be as follows: One Meter Diving, 200 Medley
Relay, 1000 Free, 200 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 200 Fly,
50 Free, Three Meter Diving, 100 Free, 200 Back, 200 Breast,
500 Free, 100 Fly, 200 IM, 200 Free Relay.

UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz will both be opening their
2007-08 season on Saturday afternoon. Having completed a
four-year reclassification period from NCAA Division II to
Division I, the Aggies are now members of the Big West
Conference and picked to finish third in the league this
season, while UC Santa Cruz is an independent member of the
NCAA Division III. UC Santa Cruz is headed by Kim Musch and
Joan Pegoda is the Diving Coach.
